Saxon Treasure



The short lived 'Anglo Saxon Review' attracted a number of eminent writers at the turn of the 19th/20th century. The series is, however, most notable for two things. The editor was Lady Randolph Spencer Churchill and the binding of each volume was a reproduction of a famous period or binders style.

Beautifully bound by Riviere this set of novels, by the ever popular Jane Austen, proved too much of a temptation for a customer at the recent London Antiquarian Book Fair.

Beautifully Illustrated Fairy Tales



Two items illustrated by Arthur Rackham; Waltons 'Complete Angler' and 'English Fairy Tales' retold by Flora Annie Steel. This latter book being a limited edition, signed by the illustrator.
